Counselling and Psychotherapy are not regulated professions, which means that it is important to make sure that the therapist you choose has the right qualifications for your needs. Please note that I am not a doctor, so cannot advise my clients on medication as I am not qualified to do so.
QUALIFICATIONS
DipHE in Therapeutic Counselling (Level 4)
UCEN Manchester
A University-level qualification which trained me in the Person Centred approach to Therapeutic Counselling. Includes over 100 hours of assessed clinical placement with clients and a research module.
Counselling Skills Certificate (Level 3)
The Manchester College
The Level 3 in Counselling Skills is a one-year course which provided a solid foundation to learn about the theory and practical aspects of therapy.

NCPS (National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society)

Accredited Registrant of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, a voluntary membership body whose members sign up to its Code of Ethics and professional guidance, ensuring its therapists are held to high professional standards.

An intensive training course to qualify me to work with under 18s, encompassing additional safeguarding, legalities, and creative techniques for working with children & young people.

The Counselling & Family Centre
Training on the physical, psychological and behavioural effects of depression and anxiety, and how to help clients with these presentations.
